On 31 October 2011, Boryszew S.A. submitted a binding bid for the assets of the YMOS group of companies, including its operations in Germany and Poland. YMOS is a leading European manufacturer of plastic, galvanised and chrome plated components for the automotive sector, including entire sets of car door openings. The YMOS Group’s 2010 turnover amounted to EUR 80 million.
The Group’s key final customers include VW, Audi, Daimler, Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
YMOS has been in bankruptcy since early August 2011.
