On 9 November 2010, a ceremony took place at Jelcz-Laskowice, a subzone of Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone "Invest-Park" to open Autoliv Poland Sp. z o.o.’s manufacturing plant.
Covering 3.70 hectares of land, the new plant is an extension of the company’s existing manufacturing facility, where the company will be producing air bags.
In its application for a permit to locate its operations in the subzone, the company undertook to make investments of at least PLN 32.1 m and to create 250 jobs.
