On Friday the trade unions acting at Fiat Auto Poland (FAP) came to an understanding on wages with the management of the factory in Tychy.
Each employee will receive a raise of primary remuneration amounting to PLN 300. Moreover, this year they will also receive a bonus of PLN 1900 for their work last year that was a record one for the factory. The bonus will be paid in three instalments – in March, September and December 2010.
- Furthermore, we also succeeded in employees being paid extra PLN 200 for four Saturdays worked a month, i.e. PLN 50 per Saturday and an additional free day for work on four Saturdays, said Wanda Stróżyk, chairperson of “Solidarity” at FAP.
Raises and bonuses have been effective since 1st of January this year.
Union “Solidarity” demanded a gross PLN 650 raise for each employee.
