GMMP has decided to make a temporary change its working time system from three shifts to a mixed system. The change will be implemented as of 3 December 2012.
Some of GMMP’s production departments will be working on a two-shift basis and some on a three-shift basis. Although GMMP’s production plans for 2013 are comparable to those for this year, the company has decided to make the change to avoid downtime days. The company plans to resume the full three-shift system in late 2014/early 2015, in connection with launching production of a new generation of Opel Astra.
In order to adapt the European Restructuring Agreement of 2010 to the present circumstances, an amendment has been signed under which the new working system is implemented. The amendment also confirms the previous provisions of the Agreement regarding the maintenance of staff levels at the factory.
