In July, General Motors Manufacturing Poland (GMMP)’s factory in Gliwice will run three additional production shifts.
According to Przemysław Byszewski, the spokesperson for GM Poland, the three extra shifts will be run on three Saturdays: 3 July, 10 July and 17 July. The reason behind the decision to increase production is a large demand for Astra IV cars made by the Gliwice factory.
The www.just-auto.com website has recently reported that in response to customers’ interest in Opel’s models Astra, Meriva and Insignia, Opel’s factories in Bochum, Russelsheim, Lutton, Zaragoza and Gliwice will run additional production shifts in the first half of July.
