sse On 11 January 2013, a group lay-off agreement was signed at the Tychy based plant operated by Delfo Polska S.A. The number of employees to lose their jobs was reduced to 265 (from the originally planned 290 people).

Under the agreement, the leaving employees will receive redundancy pay based on the length of their employment with the company.

The leaving employees will be receiving their termination notice letters from 14 January to 30 April 2013.

The main customer for the Tychy based plan is the Fiat Auto Poland factory in Tychy, which is in the process of reducing its staff numbers by 1,450.

Delfo Polska S.A. was set up in 1998 as a spin-out by separating out the Various Processing Department of Fiat Auto Poland. The company’s facilities include:
  • pressing and welding facilities in Tychy,
  • a welding facility in Swarzędz, and
  • pressing and assembly facilities in Kielce.
