sse On 5 May 2015, the Tenneco Silesia Sp. z o.o. plant was commissioned in Stanowice, located in the Jastrzębie-Żory subzone of the Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ).

The construction of the factory commenced on 8 August 2014 and the foundation stone was laid on 13 September. The manufacturing plant covers a surface of over 10,000 m2.

Beginning this year, the plant in Stanowice will manufacture exhaust systems for such clients as Daimler and BMW. By the end of 2015, Tenneco Silesia will have employed 150 people. Ultimately, it will provide 540 additional jobs.

It is the third Tenneco plant in Silesia and the fourth in Poland. The Tenneco Automotive Polska exhaust system manufacturing plant operates in Rybnik, while the Tenneco Automotive Eastern Europe shock absorber manufacturing plant operates in the SEZ situated in Gliwice. Furthermore, Tenneco Automotive Polska operates a branch in Swarzędz near Poznań, which manages the Volkswagen factory in Poznań.
