gmmpOn Monday, 11 May 2010, General Motors Manufacturing Poland plant in Gliwice resumed a three-shift working system.

The third shift was suspended in early 2009 as a result of the crisis in the European automotive market and a drop in orders. It has been resumed in response to increasing production of Astra IV, launched in November 2009.

Recruiting new staff took two months. Around 600 people have already found work in the factory through temporary work agencies. The total number of new people may rise to around 700.
