On 13 March, the Parliamentary Committee for Economy discussed a statement presented by the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Finance regarding the possibility of finding an investor for the Warsaw based car marker Fabryka Samochodow Osobowych (FSO).
The previous media reports that the potential investor is Magna Steyr have been confirmed. According to Andrzej Dycha, Deputy Minister of Economy, the undisclosed company expects financial support such as tax exemptions and inclusion of part of the area occupied by the car marker FSO into a special economic zone. Launching production at the factory would create around 3 thousand jobs.
Poland is competing against Hungary for the project
The Warsaw based car marker FSO discontinued production in February 2011.
