On 3 February 2011 Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, an automotive components and wiring harnesses manufacturer, announced it will dismiss 950 production workers in its two plants in Leszno.The cuts will be conducted by the end of June 2011. The company plans to maintain only technical department where 50 people are employed.
