On 20 February 2013, permission was given by the Board of Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A. to SPLAST Sp. z o.o. to operate within Krosno Subzone of the EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone. SPLAST Sp. z o.o. is planning to buy 5 hectares of land as the location of its new production and warehousing hall with office and staff welfare facilities. The company is also going to equip the new facilities with the necessary infrastructure and to buy specialist machines and equipment to launch production of plastic components for the automotive, household appliances, electronics and cleaning equipment sectors. The project will also allow the company to launch new products, including plastic furniture made of photocatalytic and antibacterial materials.
The new factory will employ 40 people. The project is scheduled for completion in 2016
