In the result of the negotiations concerning the selection of a entrepreneur who will receive a license for business activity within the "Starachowice" SEZ new license for activity in the zone was granted to Man Bus Sp. z o.o. - Starachowice Division.
MAN BUS is set to launch production of a new type of a premium coach and a new type of a double-decker. The project is the bus maker’s second production project licensed in the Starachowice Special Economic Zone.
In return for the license, the company made the following commitments:
- to invest at least PLN 26 million in the area of the special economic zone by 30 June 2015;
- to increase its current head count (1501 employees) by employing 50 new people by 30 April 2011 and to maintain a head count of at least 1551 people by 30 April 2013; and
- to complete the project covered by the licence by 30 June 2016.
