TBAI Poland has recently opened its new plant in the Kamienna Góra Special Economic Zone for Small Business (SSEMP S.A.).
Although production is to be launched in June 2011, the main supplier of car seat parts for Toyota’s manufacturing locations in Europe has already taken on 111 people. The company’s target head count is 390.
On over 8 hectares of land, TBAI has built a manufacturing complex comprising, among other things, facilities for press forming, coating, welding, cutting and sewing processes. The company plants to manufacture 280 thousands car seat frames and covers annually. TBAI will supply its products to the Toyota Boshoku Group’s vehicle assembly facilities in Europe. TBAI Poland was founded in January 2009 when two companies, i.e. Toyota Boshoku Corporation and Aisin Seiki Co. Ltd., joined forces.
