transsystem_logoThe beginning of the second quarter brought Transsystem a prestigious contract in the automotive industry.

Volkswagen placed the order to build new conveying lines and to modernize existing ones in their strategic plant in Wolfsburg, including the Golf VI final assembly line, which will also be used for the future Golf VII model. The contract covers three elements of the manufacturing line. The existing Golf final assembly line will be modernized and extended to increase its capacity considerably. Additionally, a new conveying system will be installed and used for a car dashboard assembly. Third part of the contract is for a conveying system to transport sheet metal waste from the car body making plant.

It should be emphasized that Volkswagen imposed very short deadlines on construction works and the commissioning. All the works have to be performed in August 2011, typically a holiday period in our plant.

This is another valuable contract we signed in the last two weeks - says Mr. Stanislaw Sroka, the Chairman of the Board and the Director General of Transsystem. - In the first days of April we signed a contract for delivery of a biomass transportation line in Stalowa Wola Power Plant. The total value of both contracts is above PLN 30 million.
