The Chery group is interested in taking over FSO, the Warsaw based car manufacturer.
According to the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, Chery would acquire a controlling stake in FSO from its current owner, the Ukrainian UkrAvto, and launch production of its QQ model.
The deal is to be closed by the end of this year.
The AutomotiveSuppliers.pl has learned from unconfirmed sources that a Chinese delegation visited the Warsaw factory last Thursday.
