On 28 December 2012, GKN Driveline Polska sp. z o.o. was given permission to operate in the area of the Oleśnica Subzone of the Invest-Park Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone.

According to information announced in mid-2012, the new project is to involve an extension of the company’s existing plant, including new machinery and comprehensive lines for the manufacture of

• AC type ball joints for half-shafts,
• VL type ball joints with a large axis inclination angle,
• MTS type axes (connection of half-axis joints),
• drive shafts transmitting driving torque to the rear axis.

The supplier has undertaken to invest at least PLN 100 million and create at least 100 jobs.

The company is planning to complete the project by 31 December 2015.
