In recent weeks, PKC Group Poland in Starachowice, which manufactures electric wire bundles for MAN factories, has added around 60 people to its head count.
Although, the Solidarity trade unions (NSZZ Solidarność) says, the new people will be employed on a short-term contract basis, it is possible that they will stay in their employment longer if production continues to increase.
The trade union notes that the company is taking on mostly those employees who lost their jobs as part of last year’s mass layoffs.
