ford_ka_new_smallFord is set to suspend production of its Ford Ka at Fiat’s factory in Tychy for two months, the newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported.



Production will be suspended in September and October. According to the newspaper, Ford’s decision to stop production has to do with problems with a sufficient number of engines compliant with the EURO 5 emissions standard.

From next year, all cars sold in Europe will have to be equipped with such engines.
On 29 June, FSO’s shareholders (including the company’s main shareholder, the Ukrainian Ukravto) resolved to reduce wages and terminate the collective agreement in effect at the company.

pzl_sedziszowOn 21 June, Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A. (Industrial Development Agency) received the European Commission’s approval for public aid for the filter manufacturer PZL Sędziszów S.A.



The public aid provided as a PLN 4m loan will be used to finance the company’s core business operations.

PZL Sędziszów S.A. is one of the largest manufacturers of fuel filters, oil filters, air filters and hydraulic filters used also in the automotive industry. The company employs around 413 people.
